The Players Club's first home round of the season was nothing short of eventful as Round 2 took place, filled with dazzling fashion, impressive performances, and a touch of confusion.

The sartorial star of the day was undoubtedly Sir Bob, who captivated everyone's attention with his very fashionable shorts. On the course, two unnamed A-graders faced a minor embarrassment as they failed to clear the ladies' tee, reminding everyone that even the best can have their off moments.

The B grade longest drive was again a fair distance in front of the A grade long drive for the second week running. However, some confusion arose as the leaderboard experienced technical difficulties, updating only the gross scores and leaving net scores mysteriously absent.

A warm welcome back was extended to Steve Hooper, who returned from Tasmania with preparations underway for the South West Open. Jonesy had surprised everyone with little lexie greeting him as he walked off the 18th.

The competition was fierce, but in the end, Mike Newman emerged victorious, narrowly winning on a count back from Sir Bob with a score of -4. Stafford took third place with -3, while Lui had a day to forget, finishing with +14.

Overall, it was a good round for the club, with eight players managing to play better than their handicap, the remainder clearly working on their handicaps for the SW open. Winner: Mike Newman (-4) 2nd: Bob Geddes (-4) 3rd: Stafford Mellowship (-3)
